Hip-hop, paranoia and finding home

Mr Lebogang Rasethaba is a Filmmaker whose work illuminates the Black experience through history, popular culture and identity. He is the acclaimed Director of the documentaries “The People Versus The Rainbow Nation” and “Prisoner 46764: the Untold Legacy of Andrew Mlangeni” and is currently in edit for the sequel to perhaps his best known film, “Future Sounds of Mzansi”. In this story, told at an Imbawula storytelling showcase in mid-2016 at The Bassline, he reflects on the criminalisation of Hip-hop culture in Beijing; weather manipulation, weed, spies and homecoming.
